We helped a construction company take a conscious decision to focus on margins by working with their better clients only.
We helped one of our clients grow turnover by over £6m across a 3-year period.
This was helped significantly by having a clear 3-year plan with targeted sales, margins and key performance indicators.
We got the client to focus on those KPI’s, happy in the knowledge that if they did that, the P&L and Balance sheets would soon look after themselves. They were able to grow ultimately to around £18m in sales.
The owner of that company confided that he just could not get his head around a set of accounts. But he really knew how to manage people and profit margins. Success came by sticking to the KPI’s all the time.
